What are the most critical years of a person's life? Are the golden years, as a person embarks upon the twilight of their life, the most important? Maybe it is the adolescent years, where a person discovers who they are - and the changes that come with it. It could be the many years of adulthood, where one learns about, and becomes who they have discovered themselves to be.

The answer to this question is surprising, but simple. It is those first few years of a person's life that are most critical. It is in those years that a person has made permanent decisions and growths toward becoming the person they will be in life. It is in those years that a child has to be trained and nurtured well in order to be positive and nurturing in their own life.

Oak Park Church understands this, and in response to the critical need for top-quality care with the child's needs in mind - the Honey Bear Day Care Ministry was established.

Honey Bear Day Care was opened in 1990 with a three-fold goal: To give motherly care and nurturing to children. To have complete open communication with all parents. To stress the individuality and individual needs of each child.

With great success, the Honey Bear Day Care has mastered those goals. Each day, as a parent drops their child off for care, they are assured that not only are their physical needs met and handled, but that their child will be nurtured and loved. Daily, each child will be instructed and involved in learning experiences and lessons that will build them a strong pre-school and school foundation. They will also be taught and reinforced in character development, an area missed by many today.

Honey Bear Day Care listens to parents, and their individual concerns or compliments, and strives to work with the parent in regards to their child. Individuality also stems to the child. Not all children are alike, and each child responds differently in their growth. Honey Bear Day Care has a well-trained staff with many years of experience in all areas of child care to cater to the growth of the individual.
